Measuring left-tail risk of fish species

چکیده
The main objective of this paper is to perform a risk analysis for the key commercial fish species in FAO area 27 by means bundle financial left-tail indicators, including Value-at-Risk (VaR), Expected Shortfall (ES) and Expectiles (EX), panel data catches (Q it ) measure (LTR i ); an empirical probabilistic worst-case reduction resulting from huge negative shocks. LTR can be useful, not only classify according their level, but also, using appropriate weights, infer any other aggregation level such as fleet, fishing community or country. In paper, we are employing our estimations calculate EU countries j ), country proxy variable inherent activity itself. • EBFM requires reliable synthetic measures. Measuring Systemic Risk: Common Factor Exposures and Tail Dependence Effects
We model systemic risk by including a common factor exposure to market-wide shocks and an exposure to tail dependence effects arising from linkages among extreme stock returns. Specifically our model allows for the firm-specific impact of infrequent and extreme events. When a jump occurs, its impact is in the same direction for all firms (either positive or negative), but its size and volatilit...
متن کاملThe tail of the Ordovician fish Sacabambaspis.
The tail of the earliest known articulated fully skeletonized vertebrate, the arandaspid Sacabambaspis from the Ordovician of Bolivia, is redescribed on the basis of further preparation of the only specimen in which it is most extensively preserved. The first, but soon discarded, reconstruction, which assumed the presence of a long horizontal notochordal lobe separating equal sized dorsal and v...
متن کاملHeavy Metals Concentrations and Human Health Risk Assessment for Three Common Species of Fish from Karkheh River, Iran
Background: The concentrations of heavy metals in the tissues and organs of fishes indicate the concentrations of heavy metals in water and their accumulation in food chains. In the present study, the concentrations of Zn, Cu, Cd, Ni, V and Pb in three common species of fish and the potential health risks to local residents via consumption of the fishes were estimated. Methods: The con...
متن کاملHeavy metals bioaccumulation in fish of southern Iran and risk assessment of fish consumption
Background: This study purposed to assess the health risks of heavy metals including nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), mercury (Hg), and lead (Pb) in three widely-consumed fish from the coast of Bandar Abbas (Persian Gulf) and to determine the maximum amounts allowed for consumption according to the degree of contamination. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the summer and fall of ...
متن کاملEntropy method for the left tail
When we use the entropy method to get the tail bounds, typically the left tail bounds are not good comparing with the right ones. Up to now this asymmetry has been observed many times. Surprisingly we find an entropy method for the left tail that works in the resembling way that it works for the right tail. This new method does not work in all the cases. We provide a meaningful example.
